Another expo packed with vendors and value, plus some nice spring temperatures, helped make 2016 another successful year for the American 1 Jackson Women’s Expo with over 2,700 guests in attendance. Now in its 14th year American 1 Credit Union has hosted 21 Women’s Expos during that time. Attendees were able to browse products and learn about businesses and services from nearly 180 vendors, with about 50 new vendors taking part in the spring expo.

 

As with all American 1 events the focus is giving back. For the second year the American Red Cross held a blood drive in conjunction with the expo and had 26 people sign-up with 17 individuals giving.  Other charities benefitting from over $2,600 in event donations include: Jackson School of the Arts, Women’s Leadership Council, Hanover-Horton American Legion, Marriage Matters Jackson and Girl Scouts Troop #60196.

 

The American 1 Jackson Women’s Expo is popular with many area businesses and returning vendors.  That includes supporting businesses like Gold Crown Jewelers who gave away jewelry and helped American 1 give away $2,500 in prizes. Other businesses contributed including the Westwood Mall, Polly’s Country Market and K-Mart serving as shuttle parking locations with around 300 guests taking part in the service.  American 1 Credit Union is proud to host positive family events like the Jackson Women’s Expo, and we appreciate the opportunity to give back to the communities we serve.
