Checkers and Rally's Restaurants Announce Breach

7/8/2019

Checkers and Rally’s announced a breach in late May. Reportedly, malware on some of the company's card reader systems had compromised an unknown number of customers' payment card information, including card numbers, verification codes, expiration dates, and cardholder names. You can learn more from the Tampa Bay Times at https://www.tampabay.com/business/checkers-amp-rallys-locations-in-20-states-had-a-data-breach-20190529/.

About 15 percent of the company’s restaurants — 102 locations across 20 states — were affected. Some were breached as early as 2016
