Talons Out Honor Flight

3/7/2018

At American 1 Credit Union, we believe veterans should be treated with the respect and honor they deserve and fought for. We are proud to be sponsoring a Talon’s Out Honor Flight on April 21st for local WWII and terminally ill veterans to fly round trip from Kalamazoo to Washington D.C. to see the WWII memorial and other monuments. For many veterans, this brings closure and peace to an otherwise difficult time in their life.

Talons Out is a 501(c)(3) and a regional hub of the national non-profit organization Honor Flight and is comprised of a group of passionate and dedicated volunteers. Be assured to your loved one will be given the VIP treatment by very skilled and experienced individuals. If you know a WWII Veteran or a terminally ill veteran, please help your friend or family member apply to be honored and cherished in the way they deserve on this Talons Out Honor Flight. Apply online at https://www.american1cu.org/honor-flight or visit any American 1 branch to apply in person.

For a more in-depth look at what a Talon’s Out Honor Flight is really like, please join American 1 at the Michigan Theatre on Sunday, March 18th at 3PM for a free showing of Mission Accomplished: Talon’s Out Honor Flight, a WGVU/PBS documentary about an actual Talons Out Honor Flight. Come watch the film and see how you can get involved with our sponsored Honor Flight departing on April 21.

They served. We Honor. They fly.
