American 1 -Deposits are Safe and Secure

3/14/2023

Recently you may have seen the news of bank closures in your local media outlets. The banks involved in the closures participated in high -risk investments, including start-up technology firms. These investments are a greater risk and very different from the everyday consumer banking that we provide at American 1. This serves as a great reminder why banking with American 1, or credit unions in general, is the safest place to do your banking.

Since our founding in 1950, we have weathered all economic uncertainties and safely managed the financial interests of our members. Our mission is building financial wellness in the communities we serve through personal, everyday banking. Credit unions are member-owned and guided by a volunteer board of directors who are dedicated to the well-being of the communities we serve.

We value your trust in banking with us. All individual deposit accounts with American 1 are federally insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA and no insured money has ever been lost by a state-chartered credit union. Financial risk taking, along with extreme profit seeking are not part of our everyday values. American 1 is a not for profit organization and continually presuming the best interest of our members through offering generous saving rates, along with convenient and uncomplicated banking solutions.

We appreciate your continued trust and membership in American 1. If you have any questions about the products we offer, contact us at (517) 787-6510, or visit one of our many local branches.

Thank you,
