For your Protection! Please be aware of the following scams that are currently surfacing. It is important that we do our best to educate and protect our members. Please read the below notices.

Medicare Scam: We have received stories of members receiving a phone call from Medicare asking for certain banking information in order to receive a new Medicare card. This is a scam that has been popping up around the country. Medicare will never call you for banking information. If you feel that you have been the victim of a phone scam, call your local branch immediately.

Text Message Scam: Several members have received text messages saying that their cards were “de-activated” and they needed to call xxx number. This message was not from American 1. Please be aware of this and always call our 888-213-2848 if they have any concerns or receive suspicious requests.
